Film release management including preparation and distribution of film reels, trailers and marketing materials.
Film reels - we receive 35 mm film reels and digital hard drives from the laboratories, prepare and deliver them to cinema outlets all over the UK and Europe. Our customer service team pro-actively follow up every delivery, phoning each projectionist in person to confirm safe receipt of the movie.
Trailers - when trailers are received from the laboratories, we colour code them according to the film's certificate and supply them to the cinema with instructions detailing which films they should be played with.
Marketing materials - we take the marketing materials produced by the studios - trailers, posters & banners - collate them, pack them, then deliver them to each cinema, taking care of every detail.
Installation - where large hanging banners or complex standees are used to support a film release, we deliver these items to the cinema where they are assembled and installed by our our trained professional teams.
Compliance audit & improvement - we visit cinemas to check if clients' marketing materials are being displayed correctly, and supply the results in a detailed report including suggestions and strategies for future improvements. Any items found to be missing can be immediately replaced & installed from a 'mobile library'.
Release management - our comprehensive release management service ensures the effective distribution of marketing materials and film reels, vital to the success of any new film.
Cross-overs & returns - reels and hard drives are returned to MPD for re-cycling or shipped again to other cinemas. This 'cross-over' process is pro-actively managed by MPD. Films are delivered the same day, often out-of-hours, handed in person to the projectionist for added security.
